St Martha’s Church, high up on a hill in the North Downs near Chilworth, must boast one of the most spectacular settings in the whole of England. It’s the perfect location for an Arts Festival and this year the main festival concert featured Rossini’s wonderful Petite Messe Solennelle performed by Coromarta and the Holywell Ensemble in the version by Peter White which sees the harmonium part replaced by a string quartet.
